Date1916-ca.1970Reference NumberMs 178DescriptionEdward Grace Guy was a prominent Rotorua figure. He was chairman of the Waikato Hospital Board and owned the Rotorua Daily Post between the 1930s and 1970s. This collection of photographs reflects his status. It comprises:
-An album of photographs depicting the early days of King George V Hospital, Rotorua. The images seem to have been taken by a member of staff between 1915 and the late 1920s. The donor explained they were likely given to Edward Grace Guy while he was chairman of the hospital board. Unfortunately, the album is in poor condition having been dismantled and cut-apart.
-A selection of photographs relating to the Rotorua Daily Post and various personal images. CreatorVariousLevelCollectionExtent1 boxSystem of ArrangementThe arrangement of this material reflects the order in which it was received.LanguageEnglish
